While, American Airlines is the world's largest airline in terms of number of passengers and fleet as well as revenue. The carrier headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas and has airport hub in Dallas Fort Worth Airport, Los Angeles Airport, JFK Airport in New York, O'Hare Airport in CHicago and Washington D.C. The biggest competitor of the airlines are Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Southwest Airlines.

American Airlines is the part of Oneworld airline alliance as one of founding member with major international airlines such as British Airways, Finnair, Japan Airlines and Qatar Airways.

Back in December 2013, American Airlines Group and US Airways Group mergered and become largest airlines holding company. They claimed about 75 percent of aviation industries United States domestic market.
